me.
I, Deon Griffin, am skilled in all aspects of filmmaking, but my lifelong passion lies in film directing. I directed my first short film, Average John, at age 10 and have since gone on to create dozens more. Many of my films have been screened at various film festivals around the world, with some receiving awards.
During my undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, I interned at MTV in New York City. This opportunity launched my freelance career in the TV and film industry, where I worked as a camera assistant and production assistant on several notable productions. I later earned a Master of Arts degree in Film Directing from the Arts University Bournemouth in the United Kingdom.
Currently, I work as a Video Producer for Yale University. Outside of work, I write feature-length screenplays and TV pilots, for which I am actively seeking funding to bring to life.
